Promote Service Leadership

The Kiwanis Club of Alexandria provides over $40,000 in college scholarships to Alexandria students. The Club also sponsors service leadership programs at these schools:

  • Key Clubs at TC Williams, John R. Lewis and Edison High Schools
  • Builders Club at Jefferson Houston School
  • Support John Adams Elementary School

Organize Service Projects

  • Annual Youth Concert featuring professional musicians and children’s groups
  • Litter clean-up at Windmill Hill Park through the city’s Adopt-a-Block program
  • Sponsor the annual Police Officer of the Year award
  • We stuff and deliver over 400 Christmas stockings annually to disadvantaged children
  • Conduct a Fishing Day in cooperation with the Alexandria Recreation Department
  • Participate in events such as the Walk for the Cure and Walk-n-Roll for Spina Bifida
  • Our members read to preschool children every week
  • Annual luncheon to honor all local volunteer organizations
